Scope
Manually operated pull testers enable Engineers to test the strength of fixed anchors in most construction materials. They can be used in a wide range of applications including testing scaffold fixings, rebar cages, embedded bolts or support eyes of varying sizes. They can even be utilized to assess the tensile strength of embedded wire or wall ties.
Overview
The testers are available in different configurations which can be tailored with a variety of adaptors to individual specifications depending on the testing requirements. There is a choice of gauge capacities (5kn - 25kn) and different load spread stools/bridges are available. Simple circular or rectangular bridges are used in restricted space areas as they are lightweight and compact. These small units are suitable for applications where loads of 10kn or lower are to be applied.
For higher loads a Pyramid bridge is available of robust design but larger footprint. The pull testers are also perfect to complete adhesion or bond testing. This is where a sacrificial dolly (disc) is adhered to a surface using an appropriate adhesive and the puller is used to pull the dolly from the surface. Dollies are available in either mild steel or aluminum.

All our pull testing equipment is fully calibrated and may be delivered and collected from your site. For heavy duty applications (25kn-320kn) we offer a range of hydraulic hollow bore rams and HYDRAJAWS models 2008 and 2050. These can be utilized on varying types and size of fixing.
